Datastream and Office 2007

The database PCs in the Eddie Davies Library (all except one) are now updated to Office 2007.

This means that the Datastream and Thomson One Banker Excel Add-ins look slightly different. However it also means that you don’t need to worry about the 256 column limit when downloading large amounts of data.

Note that to login you select the padlock icon at the top left.

Due to the MBS user setup, you may get a warning message about a “missing file” (ANALYS32.XLL)  when using Thomson One Banker. This can be ignored. The TOB Excel add-in should work fine.

One database PC is still on the old setup as a temporary measure for access to Company Analysis and Compustat (not-via WRDS).
