Mobile Phone Industry data on Bloomberg

Do we have statistics for the growth of mobile phones worldwide in recent years?

The market research database GMID and has statistics for the “total value of the mobile phone market” and the “percentage of households owning a mobile phone” but not for the number of phones.

There also seems to be some useful data on Bloomberg. BI Home – Bloomberg Industries – Technology – Hardware – Mobile Phones has data on “mobile phone shipments” and “smartphone shipments” and their respective average selling price.

Again this is not exactly the number of mobile phones worldwide, it does show the market growth.

Bloomberg industries (BI) looks to be a great source of information for global industries, e.g. oil, pharmaceuticals, mobile phones. It does not include the country or regional informaton that is typical of a market research database.
